I hold a Ph.D. Management (Strategy & Global Management) at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary (thesis defended on Aug 8, 2025). I also hold a Ph.D. in Economics from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
My primary research lies at the intersection of corporate strategy, corporate governance, and strategic leadership. I examine how institutional investors, CEOs, and boards influence major strategic decisions such as M&As, divestitures, and energy transition strategies.
I also study entrepreneurial career trajectories and the internationalization strategies of Chinese multinational enterprises.
Methodologically, I combine econometric approaches with distribution-free techniques to explore how firms and individuals navigate complex institutional environments.
I will join Wilfrid Laurier University as an Assistant Professor in Strategic Management in 2026.
